To Turkey

Oh Turkey, full of joy and wonder

I have gone there since I was younger

It’s always sunny, never thunder

It’s always warm

At night ah’m always feeling hunger

A stomach storm

It’s always absolutely roastin’

My mum lies at the pool aw toastin’

And a game of pool we were hostin’

Slides to go down

And postcards we were busy postin’

In Marmaris town

The fid wis gid wae plenty tae share

Ma brother ate and his plate was bare

Leavin nothin’ for folk to stare

The songs were good

There wasn’t enough, it was not fair

Ah love ma food
